Currently, this is a solo project driven by me, Trau Williams. I hope to eventually turn it into a proper band, but for now it’s just me, my MIDI sequencer, and occasional guitar or drum tracks recorded by indulgent friends. My music is an homage to the many artists I admired growing up, including, of course, Edgar Allan Poe, Nightwish, Ghost, Vivaldi, Mozart, Neil Gaiman, Amanda Palmer, and The Birthday Massacre. Through everything I make, I seek to show people that the dark is not always scary, that things that are scary are not always bad, and that there is beauty to be found in even the most mundane places, if you can only learn how to look for it–and also that it’s really fun to parade around in shiny black clothes. I hope I can please your inner goth teenager as much as I’m pleasing mine. And who knows? Maybe I’ll even find a few permanent band members along the way.
