I started playing guitar at the age of 9, and while my friends dove into Rock and Roll, I found my calling in Folk Blues and Country. That means I have been making music for more than 50 years! I performed professionally throughout High School and College and stepped off the stage to pursue a different career. Life happened, and while I continued playing in jam sessions and Open Mic nights, I did not play professionally again until recently. It was the encouragement of all those around me that convinced me it was time to step back up to the stage and share my talent. I am now jumping back in with a repertoire of well over 200 songs - enough material for a 5 hour set (though I don't play that long). This ensures I have plenty of material to choose from to keep sessions fresh and loaded with variety. I like to switch my genre's around when performing so my audience may hear a little Ralph Stanley one minute and Jimmy Buffett or John Prine the next. Or I may mix in some of my own songs.
