I have been a singer/songwriter for nearly 50 years. I have had the pleasure of working with some world class musicians in my life, and my songs have been Mastered by top line Producers, recognized by Billboard Magazine, and one song sought after by a Record Label President. I came out of retirement to produce “Last Rider to the Sun” as a tribute to Clint Eastwood. I have always admired the roles he’s starred in and the screen persona he has projected. Especially in “The Outlaw Josey Wales.” A tough but morally good man who was what every little boy growing up wanted to be. A chivalrous knight in the old west era. Since westerns are rarely made anymore, the song is a nostalgic and melancholy “tip of the hat” to the values we Americans once cherished, and a movie form that has faded. I am hopeful this song makes people think about who they are and how they can help make other peoples lives better.
