Born and raised in Georgetown, TX, Anthony Lonnell Hernandzo Williams, better known as Ace The 1st, has been surrounded by music since day one. Growing up on artists such as Too $hort, The Ojays, Big Daddy Kane, 2 Live Crew, and Whodini ignited his passion for lyricism, which would only be solidified with his discovery of The Notorious B.I.G. By age 13, Ace was cofounder of the group Trill Niggas of Texas (TNT) where he and his friends began writing and recording their own music. He has always been largely influenced by the raw and uncut stories told by Southern rappers, especially The Screwed Up Click and Mo3. He credits these artists as his inspiration to become such a transparent and innovative storyteller. “If there’s ever a time that I’m not listening to music, it means something’s wrong.”
