Tamer El Gabaly (born July 15, 1998), better known by his stage name TSQUARED, is an Egyptian artist and record producer. Raised in Cairo, Tamer began a production career at the age of 13 while still in high school, and became known for his original, peculiar-sounding hip-hop and trap music. While hip-hop has generally been the name of his game, the self-taught Cairo-based producer has taken detours into jazzy, bluesy, lofi and soulful sounds too, believing that music is an instinctual force that cannot be governed by boundaries. Tamer believes that producers need to stop intervening with this force by not thinking too much while making music, but rather become the paintbrush or the tool that that transforms this god-given force into actual music.
