My name is Jesse Reed. I’ve been writing music for 28 years and still love it like day one. I started writing songs as soon as I picked up the guitar—it’s always been a way to vent, heal, and escape my overthinking. My first band, Zeus, felt more like family. We made one record, Pets on Prozac, which was never released. Since then, I’ve mainly worked solo. In 2012, I recorded Tornado and the Bunker in Amsterdam as UK Alien—a ukulele-based project using live looping, a valve amp, and slide to create a unique sound. In 2014, I made Minutes That Fall from the Moon—guitar improvisations recorded as my wife slept before our son’s birth, with the sounds of Amsterdam at night. After UK Alien, I made Highway of Fuck, blending field recordings and studio overdubs to capture a moment in time. I just want to make honest music—I’m not chasing commercial success.
