Utropiks is Israh Castro, a Brazilian songwriter and producer based in Belfast. He is one of the most original international highlights as an emerging artist in Belfast from the last year 2023. His unique miscelanneous compositions has being taken inspirations from a variety of Brazilian rhythms, Spiritual Jazz, Jamaican Dub music and Afrikans polyrhythm grooves. Using his bass, nylon string classical guitar, looper pedal, electronic drums and FX’s and his voice, Israh has being performing, creating and producing in his own way, experimenting freely towards the creation of a very interesting polyrhythmic rhytms that dances between Brazilian Afrosambas, progressive music, Funk and modern electronic music. He is building his way to an authentic career as a songwriter and have being slowly conquering the attention of the media and music lovers at the local music scene and internationaly.
