Julio Venegas, aka "V", was born in Mexico, raised in northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL. At 4 years old, he became an instant lover of music and the guitar upon hearing Ritchie Valens, La Bamba. V got into playing guitar by accident when he was 14 years old and joined the military at 19 for direction in life. After 7 years of military service and 8 different career paths later, music, spiritually came back into his life and he has been working relentlessly on becoming a self-proclaimed Artist in the industry. It has been a long and challenging journey in becoming a professional musician, singer/songwriter, guitar player, recording artist and touring musician, but one, that has been rewarding and purposeful, nonetheless. "I started playing guitar and singing because it is the most honest form of self-expression I can experience in this life and I feel at home whenever I get the opportunity to perform and share my gifts with the world. This is my highest truth.
