VGMB Jestik was born and raised in Croydon, South London, a place that has greatly influenced his music. Growing up in that area has informed much of what he speaks about and the "trapwave style" that he is known for. Jestik comes from a family of musicians; his sister, Shan Ako, is a semi-famous artist in her own right. When it comes to his creative process, Jestik has a unique approach. He finds it incredibly easy to make songs and has completed over 200 of them. Jestik is looking quickly to emerge himself as a pioneer in the trapwave movement, drawing inspiration from artists like D Block Europe and Central Cee.
