Vik picked up his first guitar at age 14 and soon learned that others loved hearing him play. He quickly discovered that his vocals were even more impressive to others and combining the two became his passion. Early inspirations varied from Prince to Motley Crue to Duran Duran. He loved the diversity in their music. Later in life, he discovered bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden which all represented styles that he wanted to emulate. Vik attended music school in L.A. after high school and returned back to his hometown in Pennsylvania. He first joined a heavy rock band at age 21 years old in the Philadelphia area and began booking steady gigs. After that band dissolved, Vik explored the music scene in various parts of the country including Seattle where he spent many hours at Naf Studios playing with various signed musicians in group settings. Over the years Vik has done collaborations with various artists and mostly solo writing and performing.
