Withering Moon is a solo symphonic dark metal project created by a Norwegian artist based in Oslo.
The project delves into the darkest aspects of love — from intense passion and obsession, through deep sorrow and self-destruction, to the final stage of resigned acceptance.
Through four concept albums, Withering Moon tells a cohesive and haunting story of a love that gradually destroys everything in its path. Beginning with the initial pain in Shadows of Love, escalating through the flames of Drag Me to Hell for Love, and concluding in the cold silence of The Final.
The music combines epic symphonic orchestrations, heavy guitar riffs, dramatic choirs, and deeply melancholic melodies. The lyrics are poetic, raw, and intensely personal — like a dark diary set to music.
