Boise, Idaho artist and storyteller, Wes Schlag is singer/songwriter with a voice provoked through the stylings of low-fi folk, indie rock, and cosmic country. He has a dreamy, emotional sound often juxtaposed with a dry wit. His songs dig deep into what it means to be human, and the life-long struggle of living in the present through all of time’s regrets. His loosely deliberate picking style reflects the sounds of his heroes, John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, and Kurt Vile, with a voice that can be laid back, yet filled with a jagged edge reminiscent of Jeff Tweedy.
