Wicked 801 is a Utah-based hip-hop artist whose sound is rooted in the influence of 90s West Coast rap while pushing beyond traditional boundaries. Drawing inspiration from legends like Ice Cube, Eazy-E, 2Pac, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, his music carries the DNA of G-funk and classic hip-hop, blended with a modern, evolving approach to storytelling and sound. Growing up in Utah with Mexican and Navajo roots, Wicked 801 developed a deep connection to music at an early age. What began as inspiration from the culture around him quickly became something more personal—an outlet during difficult moments and a constant through different phases of life. While much of that raw expression lived in earlier underground releases, it continues to shape the depth and intention behind his work today.
