Imagine Nas mixed with Rod Serling.
In the late 90s, he sporadically peppered Chicago's Hip Hop underground scene as a freestyle rapper, landing a deal with the now defunct Str8 Game Records. Unreleased, but determined to make his mark, he found solace at Nkiru Books in Brooklyn, owned by Mos Def and Talib Kweli, there soaking up knowledge, and NY underground aesthetics.
Interest in Metaphysics and Alchemy led him to Arizona where he recorded various mixtapes and independent releases. These and his appearance in film led to two moving thematic alternative soundtracks for documentary Director Frances Causey ( The Long Shadow, Is Your Story Making You Sick?).
