Roland Richards
Biography
Roland Richards was born and raised on the island of Montserrat in the Caribbean. At age 15, he started his musical career as a trumpeter touring with Arrow, the original artist behind the song Hot, Hot, Hot (later made popular by Buster Poindexter). Afterward, he became the arranger/director/stage manager for the Multinational Force Band that supported Arrow worldwide.
In 2005, Roland wrote, sang and co-produced with Yves Larock a number one hit single entitled “ Zookey (Lift Your Leg Up ). The remix by Bob Sinclar for the compilation “Africanism” topped the dance charts in across many countries in Europe, Asia and Africa and was licensed for many compilations throughout the world.
Roland’s abilities as producer, arranger, keyboardist, programmer and engineer has led to his involvement on many recordings and artists over the years including:
