Howdy! My name is Zavie (zah-vee), and I’m an NYC-based performer from the mountain town of Elko, Nevada (home to both the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering and National Basque Festival)! An ethereal, small town girlie with a slight caffeine addiction, there’s nothing I love more than a little adventure! In my spare time, I can be found thrifting, lounging around your local coffee shop, or counting down the seconds to the next sweet treat I can get my grubby little hands on! Though I am a multi-hyphenate performer, the most earnest artistic reflection of myself is my composition and songwriting work! My work reflects the musical stylings of impressionism, jazz, and folk; and among many of my musical inspirations are that of Claude Debussy, Joe Hisaishi, Henry Mancini, Stephen Sondheim, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Joni Mitchell, and Janelle Monae!
