Ziikora

Abuja (F.c.t.), Nigeria

Born Chimdindu Zikora, and raised in Abuja, Nigeria, Ziikora is a singer, rapper and songwriter. Her sound is a product of bending and fusing soul, funk, hip hop, reggae and sub genres of afrobeats to create an eccentric alternative sound. This unique alternative sound is only a reflection of music she grew up listening to. Her influences include African American gospel music from the 90s and early 2000s, Asa, Burna Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Lorde, Jhene Aiko, Drake, Nicki Minaj, the list goes on. She believes that every artiste she was obsessed with at some point influenced what she now creates. Ziikora, who is also a poet had always used words and melodies to convey thoughts and emotions. She tries to bring a little bit of positivity to her environment through music. She is just starting her journey and has a lot of magic to share with the world.
