Vienna-based singer-songwriter Ajla, 21, is redefining alternative rock with music that’s raw, confessional, and deeply resonant. Starting her musical journey as a child with guitar lessons and a natural talent noticed by her teachers, Ajla has evolved into a storyteller whose songs capture the emotional complexity of growing up queer, navigating family struggles, and living with mental health challenges. Her sound blends grunge, punk, shoegaze, and ’90s rock, anchored by a distinctive vocal tone and memorable riffs that leave listeners captivated long after the song ends. Inspired by Fiona Apple, beabadoobee, and Radiohead, Ajla’s music prioritizes honesty, vulnerability, and connection over fleeting trends.
