I first started playing alto saxophone and singing back-up in a rock band back in 1973. I was 16 and the band was called "The Bluetoones". We played all over Northern New York State in towns like Potsdam, Messina, Malone, Canton, and everywhere in between. We did local bars and a lot of fraternity parties; Clarkson Tech, Potsdam State, Canton Community and Saint Lawrence University in Canton N.Y. , which was where we were based and where we attended university. So for my last two years of university, while I studied Economics (major) and Visual Arts (minor) during the day, I was getting my Music education at night, rockin' with The Bluetoones. I graduated "Magna Cum Laude" at the age of 19 with a BA in Economics.
