Adopting his maternal grandmother’s family name, Almandrez is the stage identity of Toronto-native songwriter Christian Ace Morano.
He has fond childhood memories of listening to the soulful singer-songwriters of the 70s, such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder & Al Green. His rhythm is influenced by the electronic pop musicians of the 80s like Prince, Whitney Houston & DeBarge.
