Somebody You Could Worship
Somebody You Could Worship is AMILLS' DEBUT single, entirely recorded, produced, and mixed by AMILLS. It is an evocative, honest and angsty indie rock song with elements of trap and hip-hop. Brooding and vibey, the track is real and emotive. The record tackles the topic of heartbreak and giving up on finding real love or genuine compatibility, and instead accepting the minimum from somebody.
Here, AMILLS is likely talking about the nuclear family, and how things are a lot easier for those who fit societal norms. Some backgrounds are less progressive, and there is clearly something the subject is hiding about their identity. There is a certain amount of jealousy involved, knowing that things would be simpler if you were more like other people.
