Andrew is a commercial/jazz trumpet player who has been playing for 6 years, and is currently enrolled at Herriman High School. He is in his senior year and at 17 years old, he is a member of the award winning Crescent Super Band directed by Caleb Chapman, and plays lead trumpet. He has played at venues such as the Main Stage at the Telluride Jazz Festival, the JEN (Jazz Education Network) Conference in 2022 held in Dallas, the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, and Jazz á Vienne in Vienne, France. He played the lead trumpet chair with the 2023 UMEA All-State Jazz Band, and has played on stage with groups like the Lyceum Philharmonic and even acts such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and members from bands like Journey, Toto, Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, and more.
