I am Angell Nthoi, a Botswana-born, South Africa-based hip-hop inspired producer, poet, and recording artist. While Angell Nthoi is my civil name, I prefer to be known by my initiated name in the bhakti tradition, Atma Tattva Das. I was raised in Orapa, Botswana, where I developed an early interest in rhythm, language, and storytelling. I later studied Communication and creative media, and during my university years in 2005 I encountered the practice of bhakti-yoga, an experience that reshaped both my life and my artistic direction. My music explores themes of self-realization, spiritual culture, and inner transformation, often blending hip-hop, Afro-influenced textures, electronic elements, and spoken-word poetry.
