Ania is a singer performing as a solo artist and with multiple bands. Her music is a bold cultural and aesthetic blend. She combines influences of Western popular music, especially jazz, musical theatre, and classic rock, with those of her Eastern European soundworld - mainly folk and sung poetry. With Ania’s 3.5-octave vocal range and familiarity with a variety of styles from classical through jazz, Ania shines in multiple genres. She is also a confident harpist and pianist with the ability to accompany herself while singing; she can also play plenty of other instruments on a basic level. Ania is a confident improviser in jazz, folk, and free music contexts.
