Bert Schellekens has been recording instrumental music since 2005. He uses Logic Pro and only virtual instruments, such as electric guitar and bass, piano, saxophone, trumpet and trombone, and of course synthesizers, but also orchestral instruments. Although he does not aim at any particular genre, his music tends to gravitate towards progressive jazz and rock. His recent albums are "Terra Incognita" (2008), "On the Other Hand" (2009), "Some Assembly Required" (2010), "The Beauty of Strangeness" (2012), "Theme Park" (2014), "Timely Measures" (2015), "Scales of Delight" (2015), "Fuzzy Logic" (2017), "Ratatouille" (2018), "Deja Vu" (2019), Lockdown I-IV (2021), "Short Stories" (2021) and "Tall Tales" (August 2022). He makes music strictly as a hobby; his profession is theoretical particle physicist (now retired).
