Beya Harvey is an emerging singer/songwriter with a distinctive vocal style, engaging audiences with a powerful, sultry and evocative sound. While rooted in jazz, blues, and soul, their creative process expands into folk, rock, neo-soul, and funk, birthing music with a strongly rhythmic focus and a unique, dynamic vocal quality. The melancholic timber of vocalists like Nina Simone and Betty Davis- at once gritty, sensual, and unpredictable- have been a strong influence in their creative development. As a solo artist, Beya performs with a loop station to create striking harmonies over a backdrop of layered vocals and percussion.
