An often-surprising mixture of jazz, funk, hiphop and rock, this group's sound was highly unexpected by Tucson show-goers and artists alike, but was quickly dubbed "just what this city needed" by many at Blue Honey's premier performance in April of 2021. The experimental trio has been making a name for itself in the Tucson scene since their first musical release on Christmas of 2020 ("Sessions, vol. 1"), combining technical knowledge with a desire to do something very different in their live and studio performances. Since then, the group has blended genres and featured other artists, creating a veritable fruit salad of musical flavors in their live and studio performances. Blue Honey is Zachary White on percussion, Nathan Begley on guitar, and Tyler Major on bass.
