Turnings is an ever evolving roster of potent musicians pushing the boundaries and bending the genres of jazz, crossover classical, electronic, and folk musics. The group was spearheaded and produced by guitarist and main composer Bojh Parker in 2020. The debut 2022 album, “The Tank Cerebellum” includes Julien Cantelm, Dusty Brough, Mike Taylor, Chad Farran, Miles Shrewsbery, Kevin Hill, Fabrice Martinez, John Martin lll, Amarina Wuenschel, John O’Connor, Spee Kosloff and Bojh Parker. What originally started as an experimental project turned into a full length album all remotely recorded by each musician separately and pieced back together by Bojh Parker. The complex and unorthodox modes of expression articulate a broad range of emotions and metaphors. The shifting between acoustic and electric modes of expression are underlined with odd time signatures and an affinity for the unexpected.
