Carlton Raye is an independent musician and songwriter who creates in two worlds simultaneously. The Unbridled project — ten songs each recorded in both progressive metal and Spanish guitar/Latin versions — is an artistic statement about the universality of human experience. The same stories of panic, liberation, psychological descent, and hard-won peace sound completely different depending on which cultural and sonic lens you use. Carlton Raye uses both at once. The songs tackle the full interior: a father's confession about mental illness and the daily fight to be worthy of his children's love. The empath's battle to reclaim a self that absorbed too much of the world. A psychological descent through three gates of trauma to divine forgiveness. And the specific stillness that arrives when every storm has finally passed.
