CP from the D is a Detroit-rooted independent artist creating grown-man music grounded in faith, real life, wisdom, and experience.
With a deep, rugged voice and a mature perspective, CP moves across Detroit Trap Gospel Rap, Gospel, Neo-Soul, Blues, R&B, Dancehall, and more while keeping one thing consistent: the message has to mean something.
His music reflects a life lived—struggles, lessons, setbacks, recovery, growth, and getting back up. Faith stands at the center, with Scripture, accountability, relationships, temptation, forgiveness, gratitude, and everyday battles shaping the music.
Some songs challenge. Some encourage. Some tell stories. Others testify.
Whether over a hard Detroit beat, gospel record, blues track, or soulful groove, CP from the D makes music for people who have lived enough life to recognize truth when they hear it.
Detroit made. Faith driven. Real-life music.
