​SHORT BIO ​​Charly Lopez, international Rock singer, plays guitar and sings in Spanish, English and French. Ranging from hard rock classics to soulful ballads, his vocal range and style can really grab a hold of you. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1964, moved to Montreal, Canada in '92 where he became a Canadian Citizen in 1997. Today he resides between Alberta and Costa Rica. Charly recorded 4 albums in Uruguay with Alvacast and toured South America from 1987 to 1991, one in Canada in 2005 and a solo album in 2011. In 1992, Charly moved with Alvacast to Montreal, Canada and toured part of the country. The band split up in 1994 and Charly toured Canada and the U.S East Coast until 2005 with Up The Irons, Canada's most popular Tribute to Iron Maiden. In 2005 recorded a CD with “Tears for the Dead Gods” and started touring also in Central America, mainly Costa Rica and Panama. In 2011 recorded a solo CD called “A Glass of Wine” in Spanish and English. In 201

"Safe" is a song I released it while in lockdown. It expresses the feeling of a father and son living in different countries and not able to be together due to covid-19 travel ban. I guess many fathers will relate. It can also be about any friend, family or lovers.more
