Emerging from the Inland Empire in 2024 is the Latin Bass Electro Funk dance music genre. Latin Bass Electro Funk is a description coined by the DJ / Artist Chill Commander. This throwback genre combines elements of 90’s house, Miami Bass, 80’s West Coast Electro Funk, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Funk, and Latin House. Most of the tracks produced by Chill Commander are entirely produced on or contain elements from the vintage and classic EMU SP 1200 sampler/drum machine. The overall feel of the production is heavy 808 bass combined with up-tempo hard-hitting drums, funky grooves, and catchy old-school Hip-Hop vocal samples.
