Born and raised in Seattle, Filipino-American producer/singer/songwriter Chris Carroll
creates lofi pop music crooning over sample-heavy boom bap instrumentals, with occasional acoustic and mainstream pop patinas.
In 2019, following minor acclaim under the moniker Spoke, and his debut single, collage ballad "Lost", Chris Carroll released his second single, "Edge of the Earth" with Art-Pop Indie Label Manimal Vinyl Records (Warpaint, Yoko Ono, Bat For Lashes, Moby).
He is currently producing projects for long-time collaborator/lyricist Entendres; fellow Hapa hip-hop stalwart Gifted Youngstaz, and Oakland-based emcee/educator MADLines,
as well as releasing an ongoing series of Dream Journal beat tapes, now in its 7th installment.
