Crush Limbo's -- a.k.a. Colm Clark's -- bedroom pop reflects a range of influences: 60s pop, vintage movie soundtracks, power-pop, punk, goth, new wave and beyond. He's a one-man-band, who writes and records all the songs and plays all the instruments, too, On his latest release, Utility Drawer, the instrumentation includes Armenian duduk, santur, a 1980s-era Suzuki Taisho Goto electric Japanese harp, analog synth, ukelele and mandolin.
As a singer-songwriter and guitarist, Colm Clark has performed in NY-area bands for more than a decade -- including most recently in the organ psyche band Telecommand -- and he has also created music for Off-Broadway shows in NYC, for television shows and for one short film.
