Cal grew up in the Vancouver, British Columbia suburb of Port Coquitlam. After ending his pursuit to play professional hockey, he decided to go all out with his other great passion of music. While attending University on Vancouver Island, Cal would spend most of his free time playing guitar, singing, and writing music. Cal now lives in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, constantly performing live as well as writing and recording his music.
