A dark, pink light shines from CYNN's new EP, which is as powerful as it is mysterious. After her successful debut EP Clarified, she’s back with new songs and a new team. Out of the swirling smoke, this one-woman band emerges, where Cynthia Weiss’ many ideas flow through her synths, drum-pads and guitars. Sounding as if the music from Tash Sultana collided with the universe of Stranger Things, her everyday thoughts melt together with influences of The xx and Tame Impala, creating an energetic piece of alternative pop.
Surrounded by a mist of questions, CYNN soars through the 21st century with her new EP Still Figuring Things Out with mesmerizing songs that sound like candid conversations with herself—about the moments when she feels numb, cannot connect with her surroundings, or when she no longer knows where she stands in life. But the songs are just as much about the strength she feels carrying this project on her own and her first musical ode to love, resulting in six playful songs
