Dan Marshall hales from southeastern VA. Born into a Marine Corps family, he shares a great love for his country. Dan excelled in sports all through high school. . In college he walked on the Virginia Tech football team. Dan began to kindle his passion for music at the age of twelve, learning the basics of the piano. At 18, he picked up the guitar and taught himself a few chords, quickly igniting a passion to play country music. In 2021 Dan started to share his music on TikTok, where he caught the attention of American Idol, where he would go on to place in the top 10. Soon after the show ended Dan packed up and moved to Nashville to pursue his career in music. His style is heavily influenced by early 2000s and late 90s country music and classic rock. His main musical influences are Garth Brooks, George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, and Toby Keith to name a few.
