Dark Malakh is not an artist to be messed with. Fusing the melancholic sounds of 2000s alt-metal, the speed and aggression of 80s hardcore punk, and the rich melodies of Visual Kei, Dark Malakh delves into issues of betrayal, childhood abuse and the failures of 21st century society through poetic and frank narratives about the downfall of humanity in a postmodern civilization. Taking DIY ethics to its full extreme, Dark Malakh's songs were all composed, recorded, mixed and mastered entirely by one person; only receiving some help and advice from two sound engineers who previously worked with Paul Cook from the Sex Pistols and Matt Heafy of Trivium from time to time. With such an intense sound, Dark Malakh's tracks must all be listened to at maximum volume as - in his own words - he had to lower down the volume of all his materials down during recordings to avoid going deaf.
