Born out of the growing DIY, self-producing community, Diffracting Thought is an independent progressive metal act headed by Toronto-native Alex Shahviri. With a modern progressive approach at its core, each track is reinforced with ambient guitars and electronic synth pads. Sonically, the music puts a deliberate emphasis on contrast - crushing one moment, calming the next. Tackling mental health, forgiveness and equality, there’s a sincerity that rings true with each word. The debut full length record, “In Pursuit”, is now available on all major digital platforms.
