Daniel Freeman is an experimental music composer and filmmaker based in San Francisco. His music blends synthesizers with layered vocal textures and gentle piano compositions. His dfree1080p project is an avenue to release music previously recorded for film, documentary, and installation work. As a filmmaker, Daniel was a SFFILM FilmHouse resident in 2019 and 2020, where he directed his debut feature Teddy, Out of Tune. The project screened at the Mill Valley, Bushwick, and Maryland Film Festivals, among others. His follow up short film, If You Hum at the Right Frequency, premiered at the San Francisco International Film Festival. Outside of his own projects, Daniel works as a freelance documentary editor and enjoys spending time with his wife and dog.
