Singer/Songwriter, nurse, and otherwise ordinary bloke. A bit late to the table with all this, but hey, why not?! As a songwriter, I tend to either sit at the piano, or with a ukulele, and just empty my head. I don't often know what I'm going to write about in advance, and quite simply go from the first line that comes out on to the paper, which can be both good and bad. Normally takes anywhere from 10 mins to an hour to write a song, and then there's all the additional time spent putting everything together. As a nurse, I'm a mental health nurse, and I work with kids mostly. I both love and hate my job, which can be great, but it can also get the better of me in all manner of ways. Anyway, all that sort of stuff aside, I tend to use my songwriting as a means to offload, and find it quite a nice way to let go of stuff!
