Domenik’s dispersed, yet passionate relationship with music began in Kindergarten, where he learned to play the recorder. Later, he went on to playing the clarinet and after that the flute, which he continues to (mis)use occasionally in his music. For some years Domenik sang in a choir and now sings in his own music. He taught himself to play the guitar (and some piano) and began writing songs when he was 15 years old. He experiences making music as a source of joy and a transformative, reflexive and generative practice.
In his music, Domenik is interested in combining sounds of digital and analogue nature, to create ambient, emotionally rich songs and soundscapes.
Shelter for a Ball of Dirt is Domenik’s first solo album.
