From the beautiful tree lined mountains of Wales emanates a sound that naturally branches out across folk, indie-tronic, 60s’ psychedelic and rootsy dream pop. This kaleido-sonic tapestry conveys the light and shade of the human condition, while ruminating poetically and melodically from two musicians with clear, yet eclectic visions for each meticulously crafted tune. The whimsically-named music project 'dunkie' is the Welsh singer/songwriter and musician Anthony Price. Based in the town of Mountain Ash in the South Wales Valleys, Price has written and recorded songs for many years, and in 2020 released the his exquisite debut album Working to Design. An ambitious and monumental concept album, filled with heartfelt songs exploring the oft-covered subjects of life, love, the passage of time, death and loss, but also healing, hope and rebirth. The 5-track 2021 follow up EP The Vanishing and Other Stories, is another wonderful collaborative effort featuring an eclectic mix of styles.
