Rooted Down
The song “Rooted Down,” represents being grounded in creative authenticity. Musically, the song blends elements of the East and West, with ancient Sanskrit chants, a droning acoustic guitar, ethereal vocals, and a soothing Native American style flute. The chorus of the song includes the mantra Aap Sahaaee Hoa, Sachay Daa Sachaa Doa, Har, Har, Har, which is from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. The mantra roughly translates to:“You, Divine One, have become my refuge. True is Your support, Great Creative Infinite.” Additionally, the song includes the bija mantra "Lam." Bija mantras are not typically translatable, as their power is believed to come from the sound vibrations they create by chanting aloud or silently. The vibration of Lam stimulates the energy of the Muladhara (root) chakra which is associated with safety, stability, and a sense of being rooted to the earth. Insecurity, anxiety, fear, panic attacks, overthinking, worry, and depression are said to be connected with energetic blockages or imbalances in the root chakra. This song was created to ease these conditions and provide a sense of fearlessness, safety, and physical, emotional, and spiritual stability.more
