Finwë is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer based in Queensland. Heavily influenced by the DIY ethic of punk bands as well as niche web-music genres like vaporwave, Finwë began producing music in 2017. Initially experimenting with plunderphonics and chopped and screwed techniques utilised by artists such as Vektroid and Saint Pepsi (aka Skylar Spence), Finwë published multiple demos on Soundcloud assembled from samples of some obscure and some well-known pop songs. Following their song sadboys.jpg debuting on digital radio, Finwë shifted focus towards producing entirely original recorded music, ambitiously electing to perform and record all instruments heard on subsequent releases. Finwë’s first single, Surf and Blood was released on the 5th of July 2020, ahead of their upcoming EP, Nice as Punch.
