Genghis Don is a Chicago-based DJ and electronic musician rooted in house,
drum and bass, Detroit techno, and electro. A longtime vinyl collector, his sound
is shaped by dark, machine-funk traditions of The Hague and Rotterdam labels
such as Clone, Bunker, Viewlexx, and Creme Organization. He recently released two EPs - Permutations and XY-FI - exploring a lo-fi, hardware-driven blend of
electro, acid, and house. His mixes are bass-heavy, high-energy, and narrative
in nature, unfolding as otherworldly sonic journeys where precision meets
physicality and his human touch remains front and center.
