From playing covers around my hometown of Keighley - after providing piano accompaniment for my friend Dooks' rendition of Nina Simone's 'Feeling Good' at our year 11 prom - I've played music in a variety of live lineups, releasing album 'All Is' in 2013 with the band Well (with my brother and ex-partner who produced under the name John Hurt). In 2016 I produced and released music under the name Terrapin, releasing the 'Hiding Place' EP produced with John Hurt, some of whose tracks feature my vocals and keys. Whilst I had some formal training with piano lessons and grade 5 music theory, I am a self-taught bedroom producer when it comes to music. I am art school educated so take an experimental approach to composition, production and performance. I have provided keys and backing vocals for Dooks, Haver and John Hurt as well as performing solo both as Terrapin, and under my name in an art context. I am currently finishing mixing my debut solo album 'first love'.
