Biography
Jersey native Gwyn English Nielsen is the consummate renaissance woman. She has been writing and publishing poetry, prose, nonfiction and plays for twenty-three years. Having earned a B.A. from Bucknell University and an M.A. in creative writing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, she spent over twenty years in education, recognized as a member of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers (America’s top two percent); during the summers, she spent time acting in motion pictures. In June of 2019, she retired from teaching secondary-school English, creative writing, theater and public speaking. At present, she tours underprivileged schools as a motivational speaker and dramatic storyteller of her children’s books. In addition, Gwyn is a professional singer, guitarist, songwriter with Music for All Seasons, Girls’ Night Out, and Voices of Valor.
