A gut-punch-heart-squeeze feeling – that’s what comes to mind when describing the sound of singer/songwriter and producer goodheart.
Growing up on artists like Patti Smith and The Beatles, goodheart began writing songs from an early age, teaching herself guitar and translating her world into sound through an introspective lens.
During university, goodheart bought herself a telecaster and began performing her songs alongside friends. Shortly after graduating, the band disbanded and goodheart felt compelled to take her songs to the next level. She began to produce her own music and released her debut single ‘Back to You’ in August 2021.
“Growing up, I didn’t really see many women who actively produced their own songs, alongside with writing and recording them. Songwriting is such a cathartic approach to fleshing out your feelings, but producing gives the song shape beyond anything originally imagined. I love being a part of both aspects.”
