My name is Marina Trevino-Munoz aka “Mia” lead vocalist for Grupo Mia. I was born on Dec 27, 1976, in Edinburg, Texas. My parents are Maria F. Trevino and Israel Trevino, my father is a well-known musician in South Texas. He plays rhythm guitar and is a major part of my singing career. My parents have always encouraged my journey to be a Tejano Artist. My Dad has taught me all that I know about Tejano music and the industry. One of my very first memories is how much my dad truly believed in me and my talent to sing. GRUPO MIA has one goal and that is to just perform wherever we can with the passion of music that me and my dad share. The moment I get on that stage it’s a feeling that’s hard to describe. Everything seems to be still and in that moment I literally can feel each smile I receive, each thumbs up, each person that sings along, each vuelta I see, each familiar face... I CAN FEEL IT IN MY HEART and MY HEART IS HAPPY! I thrive on music. Music is life…Well, it is for me. -Mari
